Course Title: Essentials of Catholic Youth Ministry
Course Description: Essentials of Catholic Youth Ministry is an introductory six-week course to help leaders learn fundamental elements of ministry with middle school and high school youth. We will explore biblical teachings, important Church documents, and current research that informs ministry with youth and families today. This is a practical course geared at resourcing you and a team to start or grow your parish youth ministry.
About the Instructor: Angel Barrera has over twenty years of experience in ministry with youth and families in parish, campus ministry, diocesan, and national settings. He holds an M.A. in Religious Studies and an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction. He currently works with the Diocese of Brownsville and the Catholic Leadership Institute.
Schedule:
All sessions are two hours long from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM and offered via Zoom.
